Washington Health Data Privacy Policy

This notice is for Washington State residents under the Washington My Health MY Data Act ("MHMD Act"). PocketPlate provides educational nutrition insights and does not diagnose, treat, or cure disease.
1. Who This Applies To
This notice applies to residents of Washington State and explains how PocketPlate collects, uses, and shares "consumer health data" as defined by the MHMD Act.
2. Consumer Health Data We Collect
PocketPlate collects the following categories of consumer health data when you use the Service:
- Food and beverage logs (photos, voice entries, manual entries)
- Caloric and macronutrient intake data
- Micronutrient tracking data (23 nutrients tracked)
- Supplement name, dosage, and schedule information
- Body measurements — height, weight, body fat (if voluntarily provided)
- Health conditions or dietary restrictions (if voluntarily disclosed)
- Physical activity levels and goals
3. How We Use Consumer Health Data
We use this data solely to: provide and personalize the PocketPlate nutrition tracking experience; improve AI food recognition accuracy (using anonymized, aggregated data only); and comply with legal obligations. We do not use consumer health data for advertising and do not sell it to third parties.
4. With Whom We Share Consumer Health Data
We share consumer health data only with service providers processing it on our behalf under contractual data protection agreements, including cloud infrastructure, AI processing, and customer support providers. A full list of third-party service providers is in our Privacy Policy, Section 6 (pocketplate.app/privacy). We do not sell consumer health data. We do not share consumer health data with data brokers.
5. Your Rights Under the MHMD Act
Washington residents have the right to:
- Confirm whether PocketPlate collects, shares, or sells your consumer health data
- Access a list of third parties with whom we have shared your consumer health data
- Delete your consumer health data
- Withdraw consent for collection and use of your consumer health data
To exercise these rights: email support@pocketplate.app with subject line "Washington Health Data Request." We respond within 45 days. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
6. Consent
Where required by the MHMD Act, PocketPlate obtains your explicit consent before collecting consumer health data. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting support@pocketplate.app. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of prior processing.
